No one told me Scotland would be this goddamned COLD! Do people not believe in insulation in these buildings, or is 40 degrees considered comfortable on this hunk of rock? Christ almighty DAMN, Scottish people! Man invented fire for a REASON!

DUDE! You got to go to Scotland! Why didn't anyone tell me!

... wait, was it on the journals, because I -totally- forget about these sometimes. Grr.

Dork. Yeah, Doc MacTaggart and Mr. Dayspring invited folks. I think you were off at your grandparents.

Corndog. And yeah, I just read back and saw that. I am a dumbass. I mean, Scotland has to be cool, all bagpipes and like, that haggis stuff?

DUDE! Have you had that? Is it gross? Do they make you eat it?

I have no idea. I'm still in the airport waiting for a ride to the Doc's family place. I'm not even sure they speak ENGLISH here. And for some reason, I can't get Clarice on the cell to come 'port over and grab me. Damn roaming network.

Doctor Moira speaks English. I think there isn't a Scottish language. I mean, I've never heard it in movies and plenty of those have Scottish people.

Fix the cell phones then? Can't you do that?

Boosted the SMS signal for text messaging, bounced it off a satellite and - oh good, the Purple Pixie Taxi service is here. Later.

Suck it up, fuzzball. Not like we don't get snow and ice here as well. It's totally winter, Dude. You know, the time we put on layers. Wool is your friend, make friends with the wool.

-DUDE-. Forge's not the one with fuzz. Well, except that thing he calls a goatee, but ... yeah. Just stopping now before he decides to, I dunno, turn my bed into a Kyle eating robot or something.

If ShinyBitsBoy had stayed home, then ShinyBitsBoy would not be cold now. Pfft.

You in the mansion?

For New Years?

I was planning on watching movies. Thought I'd get anyone who was still in the mansion in the same room to count in the New Year if you're interested.

Well...

Catseye thinks someone has to keep an eye on WarmSnugglyFriend.

Catseye does not much care about New Year's one way or another, but will bring down WarmSnugglyFriend for movies and counting, to keep SillySparkyGirl from doing something silly if she gets bored.

Cool! I'm not Jamie but I could probably find some pastrami somewhere.

Catseye is not really hungry right now.

...

Still, Catseye supposes it would be a shame to let the pastrami go to waste...

It's admittedly kinda lonely with everyone off doing family things. And Pastrami isn't any fun to eat unless it's shared. I'm down in the kitchen anyhow, if you wanted to come by.

That's one good thing anyway. I don't have the shoes for going all over Scotland doing Scotlandy things.

Hey, you haven't seen movies much, have you?

Shoes. *hiss*

Catseye has seen them sometimes. Only through windows, though the CatLady let Catseye stay and watch one once, on her lap.

Yeah, shoes suck. Except for the cold feet in the snow part, which isn't cool.

The CatLady?

Catseye is used to having her paws in the snow.

Yes! The CatLady was nice to Catseye and all the other cats too, and also helped keeping the kittens warm and fed in the winter sometimes. Catseye misses the CatLady and hopes that everything is all right.
