Oh good god in heaven...

I don't know what's fouler. The smell Amanda made in the library this afternoon, or this ice cream Catseye just had me try. Buddha's balls on a silicon substrate, what WAS that?

[identity profile] x-kylun.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Is this a global ban, or may I try some? It sounds interesting.

[identity profile] x-catseye.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
HA! Catseye will be happy to share the Pastrami Swirl ice cream with someone who has taste!

(Hrm. Actually, RedFurFriend and WarmSnugglyFriend will probably like it too! :D)

[identity profile] x-rahne.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I think... that the sardine and pastrami ice creams both smell very interesting, but these might be things I prefer to eat separately. (Although I want to know how one swirls pastrami. Is it in little bits, or spirals?)

...On the other hand, if I shift forms a little, the idea of pouring that soup over vanilla ice cream gets oddly appealing...

[identity profile] x-coldhands.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
One grinds the crap out of said pastrami in a food processor before swirling. So it's like fudge ripple--only with pastrami.

[identity profile] x-rahne.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. Yes, that would make sense.

[identity profile] x-coldhands.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd be much more likely to try the pastrami ripple than the sardine swirl...but really, I think I'll stick to my pralines and caramel.

Just thought I'd come up with something for those around here who don't like/can't have sweet things, and might still like something cool and refreshing that'd appeal to their palates. ;)

[identity profile] x-wildchild.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh. I think I'll draw the line at spicy peanut. Meat in my ice cream just doesn't... I dunno, it just seems wrong.

[identity profile] x-coldhands.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
There's no sugar in it, or vanilla or anything. It's basically meat and cream, and a few other, uh, flavorings, and then frozen.

Which isn't to say that I'll be eating it anytime soon, but...yeah.

[identity profile] x-wildchild.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
.... Dude, you made frozen creamed chipped beef!

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's like a meat smoothie or something.

. . . Now I kinda want to know what it tastes like. I like pastrami.

[identity profile] x-cypher.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
But can he make a meat popsicle? ;-)

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, there is no way to answer that question that isn't extremely disturbing.

[identity profile] x-cypher.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
...upon further review, I was attempting to make a Fifth Element joke, but I think perhaps I was a bit too oblique about it, hence the disturbing imagery.

SUBJECT CHANGE!

How about that local sports team?

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, their latest showing against their rival local sports team was quite engaging, I thought!

[identity profile] x-cypher.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I dare say you're quite right, old chap, wot wot?

[identity profile] x-kitten.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but sports team against town hasn't been doing so well since they traded away big name athelete.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Big name athlete got greedy, is what it was. He's gonna get paid more at out-of-state sports team but everybody knows he's just a sellout now.

[identity profile] x-kitten.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Besides, even with their new line up, out-of-state sports team is never going to make it into big name championship.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
All the money in the world can't buy out-of-state sports team a decent coach. Well, it could, I guess, but they're spending their money on player salaries instead.

Local sports team has a decent shot this year, though, I think. I know I'll be rooting for them.

[identity profile] x-forge.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
...dude, that's gross.

[identity profile] x-wildchild.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but now that I think about it, it sounds kinda good. I mean, I eat frozen peas, why not frozen meat?

[identity profile] x-coldhands.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I also made some pralines and caramel and raspberry cheesecake, if either of those appeal to you more. I had to have something to cleanse my brain of the thought that I just made meat ice cream.

The things I do for my art... :)

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually I read somewhere that they have meat ice cream in stores in Japan, so you might not be the first.

Hey Shiro, that true?

[identity profile] x-siryn.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh, raspberry cheesecake

[identity profile] x-roulette.livejournal.com 2005-08-11 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
meat ice cream?

Ew. Ew ew ew ew ew. And ew.

I'm pretty open-mineded, but a girl's got to draw the line somewhere!

[identity profile] x-coldhands.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, pretty much. It looks disgusting, but Catseye was curled around it and growling contentedly--or I think that's what she was doing. So it meets with her approval, anyway. ;)

[identity profile] x-coldhands.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
She took off with it, you'll have to track her down. I sure as hell didn't save any for myself.

[identity profile] x-catseye.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
More for Catseye then! Wheee! :D
