Isn't it always the way?

So Mr. Summers manages to sneak past me in a straightaway race, that much I can deal with. Guy's been riding that motorcycle for years, he knows his racing, I will give him that. But at least get SOME gloating in before flying off to save the world! This whole quietly smug humility thing is infuriating.

Of course, this means I have MORE work to do on the engine. There is obviously some untapped potential I'm missing.

If only biology and genetics were this easy.

Oh, definitely. Mechanically, I know both the car and the bike better than anyone can. However, driving isn't just a matter of mechanical precision and accuracy. This much I know, and thus I can be a gracious loser knowing I lost fairly and not to some mechanical advantage or disadvantage.

You know how they work better than anyone. I think it's fair to say that he knows their hearts better.

Technical knowledge doesn't always equal genius. :)

So very true. It's a good thing I'm a genius anyway, or I'd have thought you were trying to insult me, Miss Cassidy.

Not at all. I was thinking of...well, even if I learned to play as well as Alison, Faith would always sound better in her hands. The technical skill doesn't matter, its the musicianship.
